ABOUT US... We are a small, friendly group interested in all things to do with railways and railway modelling and particularly BR Southern Region although other interests are welcome. We get together on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 pm until 10:00 pm, and also at other times, to build our layouts, play trains and/or chat.
- We model layouts in N , 00, 00-9 and O gauges
- We utilise both DC and DCC for locomotive and layout control to cater for both digital and analogue stock
- We have a continuous loop test track in both 00 and N gauges
- We have our own dedicated clubroom available 24/7 365 days a year at the rear of Dorking Halls car park, High Street, Dorking (see below for more details of our location) so we don’t have to dismantle items between meetings.
- In addition to our Monday and Wednesday evening sessions, members are free to come along on their own or with other members at any time to relax building their own models or doing some work on one of the the Club layouts.
- We hold an annual exhibition usually in collaboration with Horsham Model Railway Club. This year's show will be held on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September 2026 at The Ashcombe School, Ashcombe Road, Dorking, RH4 1LY. Plenty of layouts in different scales are expected to be on display, refreshments will be available and stalls will be selling secondhand model railway items. There is level access to the school and free parking.
